Tesco Great School Run
For Kids
One of the aims of The FA and Tesco is to encourage children to get more enjoyment out of football, and playing for a well-organised club is a great way to continue to enjoy our national game. If your child wants to start playing more football with others in their age group, Mini-Soccer is a great place to start. The pitches and goals are smaller, and there are fewer players so everyone gets more touches of the ball, increasing enjoyment and participation. Children play in their own age groups, which again builds confidence.
Clubs which run youth teams will play Mini-Soccer, so to find a club near you, visit the 'Find A Club' facility on TheFA.com.The 'Find A Club' facility will also guide you to girls-only and clubs for disabled players.
In the long-term, The FA Tesco Skills Programme aims to build the future of football in England. We want children involved in the programme to stay in the game – as players, coaches, referees and volunteers. Some of the children in the Programme are already training with professional clubs from Blackburn Rovers to Arsenal Ladies. We’re here to help every boy and girl in the Programme to be the best footballers they can be.
